Usage
Mainly used as a water treatment agent, also used as a mordant, catalyst, chlorinating agent, and used in the manufacture of other iron salts, etc. Mainly used for water purification, but also for printing boards, pigments, dyes and medicines, etc.
Nutritional supplements (iron fortification). Used in infant milk powder, non-dairy foods, etc.
Used as analytical reagent and thin layer colour developer.
Organic synthesis catalyst. Analysing copper, selenium and arsenic, and as an indicator in the determination of phenol, cholesterol and choline.
