Indium iodide is magenta or yellow crystal. Melting point 210℃, relative density 4.69. Soluble in acid, chloroform, benzene. Extremely unstable in water.
Uses
High purity indium iodide (InI3) is used in the electronics, instrumentation, and metallurgical industries, and as a suitable mercury additive in optical technology.InI3 is used in high-pressure discharge lamps and metal halide lamps.
Packaging
Triple vacuum packed or protected with argon gas.
