Mainly used for aluminum smelting. It can be prepared by the reaction of aluminum trichloride with hydrofluoric acid and ammonia. Aluminum fluoride is mainly used in aluminum smelting production to reduce the melting point and improve the conductivity of electrolyte. Chemicalbook is used as an inhibitor of side fermentation in alcohol production. It is also used as a flux for ceramic glaze and enamel glaze and as a component of glaze powder. It can also be used as a flux for smelting non-ferrous metals.
