Properties
White to light grey crystal or crystalline powder. Very slight special odour. Suitable for crude oils and highly unsaturated fats, such as sunflower oil. For cooking oil and bakery products, it is suitable to be used in combination with BHA, but it is suitable for boiled and fried products. General dosage 100-200mg/kg, this product is white or slightly reddish brown crystalline powder, has a very light special fragrance, almost insoluble in water (about 5‰), soluble in ethanol, ethyl acetate, ether and other organic solvents. Boiling point 295℃, melting point 126.5~128.5℃. It has anti-corrosion effect on most fats and oils, especially vegetable oils. It does not change colour in the presence of iron or copper, but can turn pink if alkali is present.
Usage
1. Used as an antioxidant and stabilizer
2. For food oil additive testing
Storage
It should be sealed and shaded to be stored in a dry, cool, well ventilated place.
